Andre Regnier, Sam Eldredge, Mylene Moreau (Regnier)
Losing My Religion: Why our children left the faith and what to do about it, is a one-day conference for members of the public, to include speakers, workshops, and a panel discussion.
Speaker-panelists are authors Andre Regnier (founder of Catholic Christian Outreach), Mylene Moreau (author and mother), and Sam Eldredge (of Ransomed Heart Ministries and Noble Workshops). Andre and Mylene co-authored the book “Brick by Brick: Building a strong family that won’t lost their faith in a secular culture”. Sam and his father John co-authored the book “Killing Lions: A guide through the trials young men face”.

Conference Speakers

Andre Regnier:
Founder of Catholic Christian Outreach and co-author with his wife and family of the book “Brick by Brick: building a strong family that won’t lose their faith in a secular culture.”

Sam Eldredge:
Founder of Noble Workshops and co-author with his father, John Eldredge (Wild at Heart Ministries), of the book “Killing Lions: a guide through the trials young men face”.

Mylene Moreau:
Co-author of the book Brick by Brick: building a strong family that won’t lose its faith in a secular culture. Mylène Moreau, the eldest of the five Regnier children, was appointed main author because of her distinctive standing in the family as both child and mother. The rest of the writing team at the time was Caleb and his wife Alana, Joel and his wife Elizabeth, soon-to-be Grade 11 student Natalie, and Janna, who just completed Grade 8.

Conference Structure

The conference is planned as an all-day event on Saturday, March 7, addressing the theme of children leaving the faith of their parents. 85% of Catholic young people will reject a Catholic identity by age 25. (Stats Canada)
The all-day conference will begin with a succession of speaker slots in the morning, move to breakout discussion sessions for participants in the midday, and return for a Q&A panel time in the afternoon.
The goal is to give attendees tools:
  • for understanding;
  • for processing and integrating grief;
  • for identifying healthy actions to take for themselves;
  • for identifying healthy actions to take for the ones they love and feel concern for.

Who's This For?

Mature demographic of parents and grandparents in who often wrestle with the pain of children or grandchildren who leave the faith of the family.
