TeenSTAR Certification

Contemporary culture talks a lot about sexuality, but one is hard pressed to find a holistic presentation on the body and how fertility works. With so much confusion, isn’t it time to get some clarity? Learn about your body in the light of principles inspired from Pope St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and the best of the sciences. This course will certify you to teach the TeenSTAR program.

“Teen STAR™ is a developmental curriculum, founded by Hanna Klaus, MD (Sr. Miriam Paul , MMS), that helps adolescents and young adults come to terms with their emerging sexuality and fertility and assist them in making responsible decisions. Beginning with the physical, the young person can then integrate their intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of their persona and mature into a fully integrated human being.”

Instructor: Sr. Genevieve Gadbois, FM

Geneviève Gadbois has been a member of the Myriam Beth’léhem Family for over 25 years. She holds a certificate in Canon Law and has been a TeenSTAR trainer since 2007. Her pastoral accompaniment of young Catholics has made her aware of the difficulties they face in integrating the values of their Catholic faith into their daily lives. The TeenSTAR Program has given her the tools to accompany young people and couples alike in the discovery of a holistic sexuality, i.e. one that touches all aspects of being (physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual).

Who's This For?

This course on Discovering a Holistic Sexuality: TeenSTAR Certification is a part of our Spring Courses, a series of 7 faith-enriching week-long courses on different topics that will bring you to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith. Registration for TeenSTAR is open to adults (18+) only.
